on the noise

before the internet, a new mother had her body, her instincts, the people around her. that was usually enough.

what's changed isn't how hard it is — it's always been hard. what's changed is the volume. the conflicting advice, the research that contradicts last month's research, the pressure to be doing this correctly, with the right products and the right information and the right emotional response to all of it.

most of what's made for new mothers adds to that noise. we didn't want to.

so soft days started small — a box, not a program. things chosen carefully, without a script for how she's supposed to feel about any of it.

nothing here is urgent. take what you need, when it feels right.

with care,
soft days
